Welcome to Discover the Columbia Valley. It is our hope that this interactive feature will provide you with significant information on the incredible communities up and down the Columbia Valley, in British Columbia’s East Kootenay region.

This region, known to the locals as, the Valley of a Thousand Peaks follows the Rocky Mountain Trench south from Golden along Highway 95 and along the Columbia River, which flows north at this point from Canal Flats, and on to Cranbrook the main urban center of the Kootenay Rockies. Highway 95 connects with Highway 93 at Radium Hot Springs the gateway village to Kootenay National Park.
